Overview
Chitz is an iOS application that lets you photograph questions and receive AI-generated answers. We built Chitz with a straightforward privacy principle: your images and data exist solely to give you answers—nothing else. We do not build profiles, sell data, or use your content to train models.
Information We Collect
Images You Capture
When you use Chitz, you take photos of questions or problems. These images are transmitted to our AI processing pipeline to generate an answer. Images are not stored on our servers after the response is returned to your device.
Usage Data
We collect minimal, anonymized analytics—such as app crash reports and aggregate feature usage—to improve stability and performance. This data is never linked to your identity or images.
Device Information
Standard iOS app diagnostics (OS version, device model, locale) may be collected to ensure compatibility. This information is not tied to your captured images.
How We Use Your Information
We do not use your images or data for advertising, model training, or any purpose beyond delivering the service you requested.

AI & Third-Party Providers
To generate answers, your image is securely transmitted to our AI language model (LLM) providers. These providers process the image solely to produce a response—they are contractually prohibited from storing, training on, or repurposing your data. We do not sell, rent, or share your images or personal information with any other third parties for their own purposes.
Data Retention
Images are processed in-transit and are not retained on Chitz servers after a response is delivered. Anonymized usage analytics may be retained for up to 12 months to support product improvements, after which they are deleted.
Children's Privacy
Chitz is designed for students, including those under 18. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has submitted personal data through the app, please contact us so we can delete it promptly.
Security
All data transmitted between the Chitz app and our servers is encrypted using TLS. We follow industry-standard security practices to protect against unauthorized access, disclosure, or destruction of your data.
Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you. Because Chitz does not store images or link usage data to your identity, there is typically no personal data on file. If you have questions or requests, contact us at the address below.
